Sun, sand and tokens

Millionaires and adventurers head to Las Vegas, located near the Death Valley, hoping that their luck will smile. The city life is determined by the playing cards and colored tokens.

Las Vegas is an oasis city in the Mojave Desert. But tourists do not come here for the love of nature. What attracts them is the artificial world of casinos and nightclubs lit in thousands of lights. The fantastic neon shapes and massive buildings seen from the airplane fascinate visitors and attract thousands of customers to casinos and locales.

It is estimated that the roughly twelve million visitors a year coming to Las Vegas leave in this "gambling paradise" approximately $4 billion.

Las Vegas never sleeps. Casinos are open 24 hours a day and admission is free. The entertainment program starts around 8 pm with the so-called "diner show", but the information bureaus provide details of all the entertainment in the city. Casino customers can try their luck at slot machines, video poker, blackjack, baccarat and roulette, or just watch the players.

Nightclubs offer another type of entertainment for those who are not fond of gambling.

First of all, these are the famous gentlemen's clubs. Las Vegas is the city of cabarets and numerous music clubs. In each of them the orchestra plays live different style of music for the entertainment of the clients. Night bars attract a wide variety of clientele. Some recommend the performances of their artists, others boast their rich assortment of ice cocktails, a large number of billiard tables and television sports channels.
